Jaelyn turns 7 months!!!!

It's hard to believe that it has already been 7 months since the Lord blessed us with our sweet baby girl. She is growing so fast and has been such a joy in our lives. She is such a good baby and is usually found with a smile on her face. She has her first tooth already and the 2nd I think will break through soon. She is now eating baby food, sits up by herself, and has started reaching for mommy. I just love how she lights up when she sees me and melts me with that snaggletooth smile of hers! I love you Babygirl!

Thankful

So this Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. I am very thankful that our house didn't burn when the turkey caught on fire!! That's right. On FIRE!!!! You see the turkey was a 24 pounder and was too big for our tiny oven. The entire house was smoky. When I opened the oven door, the flames shot out. It was scary and hysterical all at the same time. The white stuff is flour that we used to extinguish the flames. I am also thankful for good friends and family who didn't care that the turkey was ruined!

Legoland October 2008

So back in October we went to Legoland for Homeschool Day. Jordyn, Chad, Joseph and I got in for the price of one regular priced adult ticket. I would never pay full price to go to Legoland, but it is a lot of fun when you get such a great discount!!!

Zoomars with our good friends

Ok Michelle, Are you happy now? I am officially tagged (by Michelle) and will list 7 things about me.

1. My middle name is Starr. I hated it growing up because I thought it was weird, but now I like it.
2. I met my husband through work. We worked at a shipping company for title insurance companies. I worked in customer service, Nader was a driver.
3. In high school I listened to rap and R&B....that was after my Bon Jovi stage and my New Kids on the Block phase....and of course before getting saved! Thank you Jesus for rescuing me from the Gangsta Rap!!!
4. If I could have any talent it would be singing. I love to sing and enjoy music, I just don't do it well!
5. I sometimes have a sarcastic sense of humor so hopefully I will not offend anyone and most of you that know about my sarcastic side, also have a sarcastic sense of humor.
6. I've lived in California 99.9% of my life. I lived in Oregon for a short while when I was a baby.
7. I am horrible at percentages, fractions and decimals so #6 is probably not very accurate...but close enough.

So there you have it. 7 things you probably didn't know, and probably didn't care to know about me!!!

"Dear God"

It's hard to believe that my little Joseph has started kindergarten, but here we are doing phonics and math and practicing our printing and scissor skills. I am using Saxon 1 with him and we have recently started learning the doubles facts (0+0, 1+1, 2+2, etc...) Well he has mastered 0-5 but was having a little trouble remembering the higher numbers 6-9. So there we were doing our facts practice sheet and he got to 8+8. All of the sudden he looks up (very seriously I might add) and says "God, please tell me what is the answer for 8+8, I forgot." Then he continues and finally says "okay, thanks." It was so cute, especially in his little voice that he has. How sweet it was to see him turn to the Lord when he needed help!!!
